DIY Face Mask Good for Whitening and Acne?
Hello! Today I will be sharing a hack in making your own face mask using natural ingredients. :)
I am not actually fond of using mask. Instead of hydrating my skin and helps to improve the appearance of my pores, it always results to breakout. That's why every time I have my monthly facial, I just ask a cold compress on my face. :)
While I was searching for a good content for my Youtube channel (if you haven't subscribed yet, kindly click this: SirLawence ), I have discovered DIY mask. I watched videos and said maybe I could try to make my own. :)
Sir Lawrence's Version of Face Mask
These are the things that you need:
1. Lemon
2. Cucumber
3. Glycerin
4. Compressed Mask
1. Lemon
Lemon is said to be anti-bacterial and can help treat acne. Since it is rich in Vitamin C, it can also brighten skin. :)
2. Cucumber
Believe it or not, this fruit/vegetable has Vitamin C and caffeic acid which are good in rejuvenating skin. Since cucumber is mostly made of water, it is a good moisturizer leaving our skin hydrated. It is also good for the dark circles and under-eye bags.
3. Glycerin
It may sound alien or too technical to you, but many of our face mask and soap have this.
According to vogue.co.uk:
According to vogue.co.uk:
"Also known as glycerol or glycerine, glycerin is a colourless liquid found in all natural fats (whether animal or plant), including those in our own skin. It can also be manufactured synthetically.
Glycerin is a humectant, meaning that it attracts moisture to the upper layer of the skin where it is applied. In this way it prevents dryness and scaling by maintaining the skin's barrier against the elements, and is often used to treat medical conditions like psoriasis and dermatitis, as well as dry skin. It can also be used to promote wound healing. As well as being used in skincare, glycerin is a common component of natural soaps due to its moisturising properties and its ability to cleanse gently."
Toner is a good substitute in absence of glycerin but remember it is quite harsh on skin.
I bought mine at Watson's for 30+ Pesos. Not Bad. :) Don't worry, it's an over the counter product. :)
4. Compressed Mask
This is one of the best inventions in skin care industry. Who would have thought that you could bring mask with you in a size of a candy? Perfect for those who are traveling. :) I could compare the texture of this to Nature Republic's Organic Cotton Pad! :)
I bought mine at Miniso for 99 Pesos (40 Pieces). :)
