Facial cleansing tools have not been included in my skin care routine ever since I had breakout while using a cleansing brush from a Korean brand. I'm pretty sure my skin got irritated because of its bristles. About 2 months ago, I have watched a Youtube video about the benefits of Konjac sponge. I got interested, but of all Watsons outlets I'd been to, no one has it. It was just this week that I finally had the chance to get a piece of this sought after tool. :) 

Konjac has been widely used across Eastern Asia for over 1500 years. It is made using the moisture-rich fibers from the root of konjac plant which is rich in essential vitamins, minerals and amino acids. This extra soft sponges are naturally alkaline to help maintain the optimal pH balance of the skin is perfect for daily cleansing.

Use it daily to gently exfoliate and purify the skin while stimulating blood flow and encouraging regeneration.

Directions

1. Before use, soak thoroughly for 3-5 minutes in warm water.

Let's admit it, there are really days that we don't smell good. It feels there's something wrong with our sweat even if we already took bath. I don't know if it is because of the food we ate the night before or the weather condition. If those times happen, I usually had my Tawas crystals bought from a sari-sari store nearby to the rescue. But since it was so hassle and time consuming, I always ended up just using my favorite deodorant.


It was just recently I have discovered that my sister and brother are using this "special brand" for their children. Not sure if they have discussed about it. All I can remember is when my nephew was already mentioning how good this product is.  As a blogger who is ready to try anything, I gave it a shot. 

MILCU UNDERARM AND FOOT DEODORANT POWDER

Milcu Deodorant Powder is derived from Tawas crystals, formulated to prevent and halt odor generated by perspiration in the underarm and feet. It's made of all natural ingredients and is fragrance free.

Application

Sprinkle some Milcu powder on your palm or use the Magic Puff foam and apply evenly on your freshly cleansed, dry skin. You may sprinkle Milcu powder directly into your footwear to freshen them up or make a footbath and have a relaxing soak to clear up athletes’ foot.

My first speaking engagement about blogging started upon receiving an invite from National University just this year. Read here: I'm their Speaker: Blogging Seminar Experience

It was then followed by a workshop for teachers at Gabriel Archangel Toddler Preschool.

Though I'm not new in giving talks, it still excites me every time students invite me. :) It's not because I'm a teacher by profession but I know I can inspire these young minds. I will always remember the times I was in their seats, dreaming to be a speaker one day. Now that I am, I make sure to always find time for students' requests. :)

I didn't have hesitations when an officer from Communication Department of University of Caloocan City messaged me on Facebook. The event is a symposium themed as "Promoting Mental Health Awareness" in celebration to their 9th World Social Media Day. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about mental health continuum with the help of social media platform.

The topic, blogging is a piece of bread for me, but relating it to mental health awareness is another thing. It is I think the most difficult topic to discuss, but also one of the most special. Mental awareness plays a big part in my life. I remember being bullied back then because I didn't pass society's standards: nerd, obese and had blemishes on face.

In my eagerness to be accepted by everyone, I tried searching for videos and articles on how to look good. I was disappointed that there were only few men who vlog and blog about their skin care routine and how to put cosmetics. To document my journey and help men suffering from low esteem like me, I created this blogsite.

It didn't ever cross my mind that after 5 years of being here in the industry, I would be speaking on stage and will be promoting an advocacy. The blog which started to be just a hobby and an outlet to escape from reality, became a home for those men seeking for answers to cosmetics and skin care questions. My blog becomes an inspiration. Filipino men are now eventually embracing the concept of using cosmetics and skin care products. The readers are not afraid to explore. I salute seeing posts, messages on how they alot time to do their beauty regimen and routine. MY BLOG IS MAKING A DIFFERENCE. :)
