APOLLO VS. VASELINE: LAWbanan for the Grand Dupe

Let the LAWbanan for the Grand Dupe Commence! APOLLO VS. VASELINE

Wouldn't it be nice if your lips would stay luscious 24-7? Smooth, subtly Red and kissable? Or perhaps even just for a moment you might desire to have a red or healthy looking lips all the while as having a strict budget. Well I know just the thing to suggest, the Apollo lip balm or the Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips. With both priced reasonably and affordably, I am very sure that you won’t regret giving either a shot, but the question is who will stand as the most bang for the buck and the grand dupe of one of my most favorite Mac Cosmetics’ Hint of Colour Lip Oil?

Similarities

Off the bat, the most obvious similarities from both products is that both contain petroleum jelly and pigment that will give you lip moisture, lip protection, and a hint of pinkish-reddish pigment for a healthy looking lips that are not too overpowering. And this I think is very suitable if you want to achieve that no makeup look for women, and also for men. Lastly, both products are affordable and reasonably priced.

Differences

Now for the tough part, side by side and in comparison, it is worth noting that there are also differences with each product that makes each unique in its own right, such as the packaging, product consistency and formulation, scent and pigment. With the uniqueness of each product, I will only be mentioning some of the pros that stood out from my experience. And if you really want to know my full review and deliberation, I highly suggest that you watch my vlog. :D

Vaseline

If you are looking for a lip balm that has little pigment that smells nice (Rose scent) when applied, then perhaps Vaseline is the way to go. Although priced a little higher at P125.00 compared to Apollo.

On your marks, get set, HELLO GLOW! LAWbanan of Hello Glow Toners

Say hello to Hello Glow’s Skin Care set! This brand by Everbilena Cosmetics was launched on the 22nd of February last year with the aim and focus in providing skin care products that are affordable, vegan, paraben free, cruelty free, SLS free that are suitable for all skin types. For as their tagline says, “because your skin matters.”

But the question is, will it really give me that oh lala Hello glowing skin? To answer this, I was lucky enough to be given three of their skin care sets featured in the line: 1) the Advanced Rejuvenating Set set; 2) Blemish Miracle Set and; 3) the Acne Defense Set. All three sets are designed and formulated to target your individual concerns and needs that are suitable for all skin types. All sets are priced the same which I do find to be very affordable, each set costs around P360.00.

But, TBH and to be frank with you, if you’ve been sticking around for some time, you are somewhat aware that I’m not really a big fan of skin care sets. For this reason I’ll only be focusing on the toners included in each set and will be comparing each of them together including my full experience, thoughts, and recommendations. I highly suggest you watch my full review and comparison if you want to know more! :)

In order to introduce you with the LAWbanan, here are the three toners in question:

Hello Glow Get Bright Pore Toner

An alcohol free toner that contains PHA (Polyhydroxy acids) and stabilized Kojic acid that claims to reduce dark spots, exfoliate the skin, promote skin repair, and brighten skin complexion.

Hello Glow Miracle Pore Control Toner

Contains AHA and BHA that will help to exfoliate, brighten, treat acne, and minimize skin damage. It also contains soothing extracts such as Centella Asiatica, Licorice root Extract, Rosemary leaf extract, and Green tea extract.

A Cost-efficient Home Treatment in Achieving that Desired V-Shape Face? Anlan V Face Lifting Machine got you covered!

Anlan V Face Lifting Machine got you covered!

You can finally try for yourself an at home treatment machine that might give you that V-shaped face that you’ve been desiring for! And perhaps this could also be a good alternative to your regular RF and HIFU treatments in clinics and office visits in achieving that V-shaped look. Now, if you’re up for all this jazz, why not give this a try? Just maybe this one could work for you. But before embarking on a spending spree, it is always crucial to keep in mind that the effects and changes that products may give you, may not be as drastic as you’d imagine it to be or expect it to be, but rather it still depends on your constancy in maintaining a disciplined healthy lifestyle, diet, exercise and skin regimen.

As a former TV Host a couple of years back, I often went to clinics and offices that perform treatments such as RF and HIFU and pay around P500-P700 to get that V-shape face done. It’s a bit pricey, that’s why the moment I learned about this, it got me on the hook, for I find this to be a great save for my budget and only get to pay P1,000-P1,500 and do it conveniently at home and save a lot of money from going to clinics. And so I did, I got myself one and made this review. :)

The Anlan V Face Lifting Machine was designed and made by “Anlan, “a global brand that was established in 2014, which identifies and promotes itself as a brand that puts research cutting edge technology into skin care, and with a philosophy of creating products that are “safe and effective” in helping women (and men) meet their beauty and aesthetic needs for the long run.

MOST Hyped Sublingual Glutathione Drink? Eirian Gluta Review

Looking for a different method in achieving that glow? Well if you are, perhaps you might consider giving Eirian Gluta a shot! As one of the most requested and suggested Gluta products from the comment section of my Youtube channel without a doubt, I definitely think for sure other influencers and or vloggers have already been raving about this. :)

At first glance, the packaging of Eirian Gluta kind of gives a feminine vibe, from the box and into each vial, for sure you’ll definitely feel like you’re drinking out from a bottle made for a princess. Haha. :) The packaging is very cute though, but in all honesty, for someone who regularly does Gluta drips and or push, perhaps you might want to consider trying this out.

Why you might ask? Well basically, sublingual gluta drips work the same as any other modality of glutathione, the effects are the same as other brands that I’ve tried before and if you’d personally ask me, sublingual glutathione and Eirian in particular, is still more cost efficient compared to gluta drips and push.

About Time: Dewycel making its way to the Philippines

It’s about time! There’s a new kid on the block and Dewycel finally arrived at the shores of the Philippine islands. :) You might think that this Korean brand may be a little bit late to the game in this competitive multimillion K-beauty industry in the country, but the question is, will it be able to compete with your all time favorite skin care brand? Well, I am hoping that this review might help you in choosing the right decision for your skin and cosmetic needs.

Skin and cosmetic needs? Yes you heard me right! Dewycel is a Korean Skin care company that puts not only in making you feel beautiful on makeup, but also puts into careful consideration the effects that it leaves on your skin in the long run. If you’re looking for cosmetic products that also take good care of your skin, perhaps this could be a perfect option. Sun protection, Vitamin C, and other ingredients that might be safe with sensitive, acne prone, oily to dry and combinational skin types, are all what this brand is trying to achieve. Luckily, I was able to try firsthand the samples of Dewycel’s products, and to test for myself the pros and cons that go along in using it.

Just Fancy or Bang for the Buck? Fanxyrance Centeleaf Line | High-end K-beauty

Hey there! Have you ever considered trying out high-end Korean skin care products? If you are then this is for you!

Strolling along the mall, be it SM or Ayala, or perhaps browsing along apps such as Sephora, Shopee, or Lazada, one can’t help but wonder whether high-end skin care products are a bang for the buck. In all honesty, I for one can’t help but ponder on this idea as well. Most especially the trendy ones that are mostly from Korea such as Nature Republic, Innisfree, the face shop, just to name a few, that have been on trend ever since people, vloggers, and influencers started raving about Korean skin care beauty products a couple of years back. Since then, multiple brands came about from low-end to high-end. One can definitely be lost in deciding which one to try first that will be effective and will be worth the price.

Demystifying Skin Care Myths

With the emergence of so many beauty, skin care products and aesthetic clinics in the country, it is important that we education ourselves on the basics about our skin and how to take care of it. There are, however, a number of myths that are going around about ways to achieve healthy skin. Here are just three of them.

Myth number one: Antibacterial soap is best for keeping your skin clean.

Truth: According to Harvard Health Publishing of the Harvard Medical School, the skin normally has bacteria on it. It is impossible to keep your skin completely free of bacteria for any amount of time. In fact, many experts are concerned that the use of anti-bacterial soap could lead to more antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Antibacterial soap is not necessary for everyday use. Regular soap is fine. Thorough and consistent hand washing, not anti-bacterial soap, is what helps prevent the spread of infection.

Myth number two: The higher the SPF of your sunscreen, the better

Truth: Above a certain level, a higher sun protection factor (SPF) has little added benefit compared with a lower SPF, according to the Harvard Health Publishing of the Harvard Medical School. Experts generally recommend using sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30, which blocks out 97% of UVB radiation. A higher SPF would be more effective if you are planning to be outside for more than two to three hours, especially during hours of peak sun exposure (10 am to 2 pm). But in most circumstances, a higher SPF may not be worth the extra cost.

Myth number three: Expensive skin care products work best

Truth: This is simply not true, according to WebMD.Com. Many mass market products are better than expensive ones. Most active ingredients found in anti-aging creams, for example, are similar whether they are sold by a local store or a fancy boutique. Expensive skin care products can be good but you can usually get something similar for a lot less.
